You have set up your account, created your teams, you are finally ready !

Let's go to the Schedule tab to begin...

Are you there ? 💡

Creating a shift

  • Click on a white rectangle to begin

  • Fill in the desired information (label, hours, break time, meal type, personal note for the employee)

  • Create the shift

Good to know :

  • You can select more employees or more days when creating this shift ! Did we tell you already we wanted to save your time ? 🚀

  • To create a split shift, hover your mouse under the first created shift and click on the '+'.

  • If the "default break duration when creating a shift" option is enabled, as soon as your shift exceeds the minimum time, a break will automatically be added to your shift. Can't forget to schedule breaks anymore ! 👍

Creating an absence or a weekly rest

  • Click on a white rectangle to begin

  • Select "New absence"

  • Fill in the desired information (type of time off, date or time slot, personal note for the employee or in order to give more information)

  • Create this absence

Good to know :

  • A time off can be added over half a day even if there is already a shift scheduled on that day.

  • You can personalize the duration of a time-off expressed in days (for instance paid leave, sick leave) if it doesn't suit you. We'll tell you more about it here. 👈

  • If you would like to find out more about the absences, go to this article 💯

Moving or duplicating a shift

  • Select the desired shift and keep holding it

  • Drag the shift to the desired location : to move it, slide to the left or to duplicate it, slide to the right !

Creating your favorite shifts

  • Click on the "Favorites" icon ⭐️ at the top right of your schedule

  • Click and drag a shift to the favorites bar, so you can add it

  • If you want to create your favorite shift directly, click on + in the favorites tab.

Good to know :

  • Your favorites bar is specific to each team !

  • By default, we added the weekly rest absence in your favorites bar : a big time saver for your scheduling !

Adding an overall note for your team

  • Click on the date of the schedule to add a note visible to your entire team.

Good to know :

  • You can duplicate or move the note on another day of the week !

  • If it is one of your employees' birthday 🥳, a cake will appear in the notes section ! 🎂

Publishing your schedule

Your schedule is done, it is now time to publish it and share it with your employees !

  • Once your schedule is ready, you can click on "Publish schedule" in the top right

  • Choose the weeks and teams you want to publish

  • You can choose to add a message for all employees, which will be displayed in the e-mail.

  • Publish ! Your employees will receive their schedules by e-mail and/or by SMS.
A mobile push notification will also inform your employees who have joined Combo and downloaded the mobile app ! 🪄

Duplicating your schedule

Your schedule remains the same ? There's no reason to recreate it from scratch ! You can duplicate it to save time.

  • Click on 'Tools' in the top right corner

  • Select 'Duplicate the week'

  • Select the employees for whom you wish to duplicate the schedule, as well as the required weeks.

  • Validate by clicking on duplicate !
