What is an amendment and when to use it?
An amendment (or contract modification) allows you to formalize:
A permanent change: change of position, salary, hours…
A temporary change: temporary adjustment of working time or working days
Conversion from a fixed-term contract (CDD) to a permanent contract (CDI)
How to create an amendment for a permanent change
Open the employee’s profile
Go to the Contracts tab
Click on Actions > Declare a change
Select Create an amendment
Choose the reason for the amendment
Click Next
Enter the effective date and supplementary information depending on the reason selected
Click Save amendment
💡 To create an amendment, all payroll periods since the beginning of the contract must be unlocked. See Lock or Unlock my payroll period.
How to create an amendment for a temporary change
Open the employee’s profile
Go to the Contracts tab
Click on Actions > Declare a change
Select Create an amendment
Check Temporary and select the reason for the amendment
Click Next
Enter the effective date and supplementary information depending on the reason selected
Click Save amendment

How to convert a fixed-term contract (CDD) to a permanent contract (CDI) using an amendment
Open the employee’s profile
Go to the Contracts tab
Click on Actions > Declare a change
Choose Create an amendment (Permanent tab)
Check the option Convert the contract to CDI
Validate with Next
Indicate the effective date
Click Save amendment

Where to find the amendments you created
Open the employee’s profile
Go to the Contracts tab
Scroll down to the section All contracts and amendments
You will find the list of amendments associated with the main contract
