How to lock a payroll period
Locking prevents any modifications to the schedule and contracts during that period.
From Reports:
- Tick the desired period (or use the master selection) 
- Click Lock 
💡 Once the payroll period is locked:
- Schedule: days are frozen and non-editable (🔒 icon) 
- Contracts: working time, specifics, and start date are locked (greyed out + lock icon) 
- To modify a contract, you must unlock all the payroll periods from the contract start date until today. 
How to unlock a payroll period
From Reports:
- Tick the desired period (or use the master selection) 
- Click Unlock payroll period 
- Repeat the action if multiple pages of periods are concerned 
💡
- Only admins and directors can lock/unlock. 
- Unlocking is temporary (24h). 
- To modify the dates of a period, you must delete it and then recreate it.
