How to Delete a Contract on Combo?

Delete a contract in Combo if it is upcoming or already past. For an ongoing contract, first mark it as “past” or “upcoming”.

General rules

  • You can only delete a contract if it is upcoming or past.

  • An ongoing contract must first be changed to “past” or “upcoming” before it can be deleted.

  • Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.


How to delete an upcoming or past contract

  • Open the employee’s profile

  • Go to Contracts

  • Click on the upcoming or past contract

  • Scroll to the bottom of the page

  • Click Delete

💡

  • Only an admin can delete a past contract.

  • Even if payroll is locked, deletion is still possible for a past contract. For ongoing or future contracts, payroll periods must be unlocked first.


How to handle deletion of an ongoing contract

An ongoing contract cannot be deleted directly. You must:

  1. Convert it to “past”

    • Open the contract

    • Click Actions > Declare a change

    • Choose Rectify contract information

    • Modify the end date so that it is before today

    • Save

  2. Once the contract is in “past”, follow the procedure for deleting a past contract
