Depending on your internal organization, and the reason for the early departure, there are two ways to manage it, we'll go into details right here !

If you would like for this departure to be deducted from the pay ?

Head to your Schedule :

  • Click on the concerned shift, and indicate the working hours completed by your employee to validate them

  • Create a new absence on the same day with either "Justified absence" or "Unjustified absence" as the absence type. Find out the difference right here 👈

  • Indicate the scheduled hours not completed

For example, Violette was scheduled to go from 2pm to 4pm. She left at 3pm. You will have to fill in 2pm to 3pm in hours worked and create an absence from 3pm to 4pm.

Good to know : If a conflicting hours alert appears, don’t worry, it is not blocking ! It is simply based on the scheduled hours.

What if you don't want these hours to be deducted from the pay, as they will be caught up with later ?

Head to your Schedule :

  • Click on the concerned shift, and indicate the working hours completed by your employee to validate them. That's all !

Smoothing hours allow you to compensate for the missing hours of one week with the overtime of another week during the same pay period. To find out more about how it works, it's right here 👈
