Whether you indicate a justified or unjustified absence, they will have the same impact on your payroll : the absences are unpaid and have to be deducted from the salary.
So which absence should I use ? That's very simple, the difference is managerial :
Your employee reached out and informed you, and gave you a valid reason ? Choose the justified absence.
The employee simply didn't show up, or is the reason not valid ?
Choose the unjustified absence which can lead to a sanction.
