Whether you indicate a justified or unjustified absence, they will have the same impact on your payroll : the absences are unpaid and have to be deducted from the salary.

So which absence should I use ? That's very simple, the difference is managerial :

  • Your employee reached out and informed you, and gave you a valid reason ? Choose the justified absence.

  • The employee simply didn't show up, or is the reason not valid ?
Choose the unjustified absence which can lead to a sanction.

Your employee didn't work today ?

Head to your schedule :

  • Click on the shift

  • Check the button 'Did not show' next to 'Actual hours'

  • Choose the type of absence you want to add

  • Add a note if you want

  • Validate

Your employee left earlier than planned ?

Head to your schedule :

  • Click on the shift and fill in the hours actually worked

  • Create a new absence on the same day. Choose "Justified absence" or "Unjustified absence” as the type of absence.

  • Fill in the hours that your employee didn't complete

Good to know : If a conflicting hours alert appears, don’t worry, it is not blocking ! It is simply based on the scheduled hours.
