To use instant messaging on the mobile app, the option must first be activated in your account configuration. If the Messages tab does not appear, please contact your company administrator.
How to create a new conversation?
Go to the Messages menu:
Tap the + icon in the top right corner.
Select the colleagues you want to add from the available list.
Tap Start conversation (Démarrer la conversation).
Add a title to the conversation by tapping the Pencil icon in the top right corner. This is also where you can restrict other recipients from sending messages (by selecting "Only the conversation creator can publish").
Write your message.
⚒️ Visibility Rules (Who can you add?):
Employee: You can only add employees with access to your team, managers with access to your team, directors with access to your location, and account admins.
Manager: You can only add employees with access to your location, managers with access to your team, directors with access to your location, and account admins.
Director: You can only add employees, managers, and directors with access to your location, as well as account admins.
Admin: You can add anyone.
The directory of available users automatically filters profiles based on these rules.
How to manage conversation participants?
Go to the Messages menu and open the desired conversation:
Tap the Pencil icon in the top right corner to open the conversation settings.
Tap Edit participants to add or remove members.
Tap the - button to the right of a participant's name to remove them.
💡 Important Notes:
Only the creator of the conversation can add or remove members.
The creator cannot be removed from their own conversation.
Any newly added employee will have access to the entire chat history, including messages sent before they joined.
How to edit or delete a message or a conversation?
Go to the Messages menu and open the relevant conversation:
Edit a message: Press and hold your own message, then choose Edit. An "Edited" label will be visible to everyone.
Delete a message: Press and hold your own message, then choose Delete. Other participants will see "message deleted".
Delete an entire conversation: This action cannot be done directly from the app. You must contact support, providing the exact name of the chat and its participants (or the URL if you are on a computer).
How to reply to a specific message?
Go to the Messages menu and open the relevant conversation:
Press and hold the message you want to reply to.
Tap Answer.
Write your reply and send it.
How to react to a message with an emoji?
Go to the Messages menu and open the relevant conversation:
Press and hold the message.
Tap React.
Select your desired emoji from the full emoji catalog.
⚒️ Note: It is technically impossible to see who reacted to a message. The app displays the emoji, but not the identity of the participant who clicked it.
How to activate the "Only the creator can publish" mode?
Go to the Messages menu and open the relevant conversation:
Tap the Pencil icon in the top right corner to open the conversation settings.
Enable the option Only the conversation creator can publish. Once activated, other participants can no longer send text messages; they can only send emoji reactions. This option is recommended for top-down communications (announcements, important information).
How to add a document to a conversation?
Go to the Messages menu and open the relevant conversation:
Click the + button to the left of the text input area.
Choose one of the three available import methods:
Photo Library option: To import an image or photo already saved in your phone's gallery.
Take a Photo option: To use your smartphone's camera and snap a photo of a document live.
Choose a File option: To import a document stored in your phone's local files or from a cloud storage service (such as iCloud, Google Drive, etc.).
⚒️ Technical rules and accepted file formats for uploading:
Maximum file size: 15 MB per file.
Accepted image formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF.
Accepted document formats: PDF, Word (.doc and .docx), Excel (.xls and .xlsx), PowerPoint (.ppt), Plain Text (.txt), OpenDocument (.odt and .odp).
Accepted archive formats: ZIP.
Note: Voice/audio messages are not available. Direct video formats are not accepted; however, they can be compressed into a ZIP file.
How to interpret message read statuses?
Check the status under your message after sending it:
Delivered : The message has been successfully delivered to the participants' devices.
Read : The message has been viewed by at least one participant. In a group chat, the status changes to "Read" as soon as the first person opens it. The app does not display an individualized breakdown of who has or hasn't read the message.
