Assign a line manager to handle absence requests

You can assign a dedicated line manager who will exclusively receive absence requests for your employee.

Updated this week

To assign a hierarchical manager responsible for handling an employee's absence requests, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the employee's profile and select the "Contracts" section.

  2. Click on "Actions", then choose "Edit Contract".

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the contractual section and locate the "Line Manager" field:

    • Select a user from the dropdown list, or

    • Directly enter the name of the desired person.

The designated hierarchical manager will automatically receive all emails related to the employee's absence requests and can process them if they have the necessary permissions. Other Combo managers will no longer receive these email notifications but can still manage the requests directly on Combo, provided they have the appropriate rights.

Note: If the line manager no longer has an active contract, is deleted, deactivated, or demoted, emails will once again be sent to all administrators, owners, directors (with access to the establishment), and managers (with access to the team).
