By default, your employees’ overtime hours are paid.
👉 You can choose to convert them into compensatory rest (CTO), giving time off in exchange.
How to convert overtime into compensatory rest
Go to Reports > Payroll Period > Compensatory Rest tab:
- Look at the columns Overtime at X% (by surcharge rate, according to your collective agreement)
- Enter the number of hours to convert into rest (or use the green arrow) in the To Be Paid column
- Check the summary in Total overtime to be paid and Total overtime in RCR
The employee’s RCR balance updates automatically.
💡
- Hours are displayed in decimals (e.g., 2h30 = 2.5h)
- Changes are only possible if the payroll period is unlocked
- Deleting a payroll period cancels all conversions
- Hours converted disappear from the “Worked Hours” tab
How to manually adjust compensatory rest counters
From the employee’s profile > Leave & Absences > Compensatory Rest:
- Click Edit manually
- Indicate the number of hours to add ( - +2.5) or subtract (- –1)
- Save
💡
- Each entry is final, but you can create a new entry later to adjust the balance
- RCR concerns only ongoing contracts
- You can view the current balance and action history at any time
