How to use unassigned shifts?

Optimize your schedule with unassigned shifts: create, unassign, display, or delete these slots in just a few clicks.

How to create and assign an unassigned shift?

  • In the Unassigned shifts line, click on the + button

  • Enter the shift information (hours, breaks, tag, etc.)

  • Save

  • To assign it later, drag and drop the shift onto the employee of your choice

💡

  • An unassigned shift can be edited like any other shift.

  • You can create a favorite shift and drop it into the unassigned shifts line to schedule it later.

  • In case of an approved absence, you can:

    • Delete the shifts concerned

    • Keep them as is

    • Or move them into the unassigned shifts line to reassign later


How to unassign an existing shift?

  • From the schedule, take an assigned shift

  • Drag and drop it to the Unassigned shifts line

👉 The shift remains active in the schedule but is not assigned to anyone.


How to delete an unassigned shift?

From your schedule:

  • Select the relevant team

  • Click Tools

  • Select Delete multiple shifts or absences

  • Tick the unassigned shift(s) you want to delete or the whole unassigned shifts line

  • Confirm


How to enable or disable the display of unassigned shifts?

By default, the unassigned shifts line is visible in the schedule.

To modify its display:

  • Open the schedule and select the relevant team

  • Click View

  • Check or uncheck “Show unassigned shifts line”
