Why configure an automatic meal allowance?

Assigning a default meal allowance to each shift allows you to:

  • Save time when creating schedules.

  • Avoid manual mistakes.

  • Keep data consistent in payroll exports.

How to enable automatic meal allowances for all locations

From Settings > Preferences:

  • Enable the option Count one meal per shift by default

  • Click Save

💡 This option is global : it applies to all your locations.

How to select the meal type per location

From Settings > Locations & Schedules > Your location:

  • Open the location details

  • Select the applicable meal type

  • Save

What happens once the option is enabled?

  • Each new shift created in the schedule will automatically include 1 meal by default.

  • You can still:

    • Change the meal type

    • Remove the allowance if it doesn’t apply

    • Add multiple meals if needed
